Meet our Team

At the SATC, we strive to provide quality care and support to sexual assault survivors, adults, children and their loved.  Our staff including our leadership team have received specialized sexual violence training and collectively have decades of experience working in the area of gender-based violence.  We are a team committed to the health and well-being of each other, and the community in which we serve.

Executive Director

Lynn Matsuoka, JD

Oversees the strategic direction, operations, funding, partnerships, and community advocacy efforts of SATC. Provides leadership across all program areas and works closely with healthcare, government, and community partners to advance services for survivors and their families.  Focused on community impact and mission fulfillment through public policy and advocacy, community relations and donor stewardship.  


Program Director

TBH

Oversees the strategic oversight of program development and implementation, as well as day‑to‑day program operations. Ensures victim‑centered services by collaborating with staff and community partners, managing program operations, and guiding program growth in alignment with organizational goals.


Clinical Manager

TBH

Oversees clinical services, staff supervision, quality assurance, and implementation of evidence-based, victim-centered care practices. Supports staff development and ensures clinical services align with program standards, grant requirements, and best practices in trauma-informed care. This position is headed by a licensed psychologist or a licensed clinical social worker.

Crisis Intervention Program Manager

Kurt Schweitzer

Leads the crisis intervention team and oversees 24/7 victim response services. Ensures timely confidential compassionate, trauma-informed support is consistently provided survivors and their loved ones through victim centered, trauma informed practices.

Community Outreach & Education Manager

Hannah Gaerlan, MSW

Leads comprehensive community outreach, prevention education, partnership development, and public awareness initiatives designed to support survivors and strengthen the network of resources available across the state. Oversees the implementation and expansion of SATC’s K–12 prevention curricula, ensuring schools have access to developmentally appropriate, trauma‑informed education that promotes safety and respect. Builds and sustains collaborative relationships with schools, government agencies, and community organizations to expand education efforts and advance prevention programming throughout Hawaiʻi.

Business Operations Manager

Penny Kamahiai

Oversees financial operations, budgeting, contracts, reporting, facilities coordination, and administrative systems to support program effectiveness and compliance. Ensures operational processes and fiscal management systems are maintained efficiently to support service delivery across the organization.


Grants Admin Manager

Sofia Lauren Matias

Manages the full grant lifecycle including proposal development, reporting, compliance, data tracking, funder relations, and coordination of contracted services and projects. Works closely with internal departments and external partners to strengthen funding opportunities and ensure successful grant implementation and reporting.


Medical Director

Kimie Hirabayashi, MD

Provides medical leadership and oversight for forensic medical services, ensuring high standards of patient care and best practices for the collection of evidence are timely delivered to survivors. collaboration with healthcare providers
